
John Weston Mosby
John Weston Mosby - Retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel
In 1974, John Weston “Wes” Mosby enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a Fighter Jet Electrician. Five years later, John Weston Mosby cross-trained as a medic. He worked as an Aeromedical Evacuation Flight Instructor and Examiner for 20 years.
In 1997, John Wes Mosby became the Chief of Aeromedical Flight Training Standards and Evaluations/Operations Support Group at the Senior Level. Over the course of his 28-year career in the Air Force, he received several accolades for his work, including a Meritorious Service Medal, a Combat Readiness Medal, an Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, an Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Mr. Mosby retired from the military in 2002 and has been self-employed for the last 22 years. In addition to his military and civilian professional experiences, he attended the Air Command and Staff program at the United States Air Force, Air University. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Redlands.
His interests include military history, Air Force flight strategies during war, US history, and aircraft history. He also enjoys riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, hiking, traveling, and working out at the gym. He is a member of the Retired Officers’ Association and resides in Carlsbad, California.
